Currumbin RSL

Introduction

Dear friend

What an exciting comedy show we have coming up.  We have managed to secure Fiona O'Loughlin so it'll be a night comedy lovers won't want to miss.

Joining her will be Mandy Nolan and Ellen Briggs.  A line up of hysterically funny mothers who should bring some hilarious insights to the stage.

Features

Fiona O'Loughlin Live

Fiona O’Loughlin is one of Australian’s most successful and popular stand-up comedians. In addition to her stellar comedy career she has also been a mother to five children. 2009 saw Fiona’s contribution to the Australian cultural landscape recognised when she was awarded the Northern Territories 'Australian of the Year' honour.

Hailing from Alice Springs, the growth of her career is even more impressive when you take into account the geographic isolation of her home town. To have risen to become one of the most sought after stand-up comedians in the world is truly an incredible feat, and an indisputable testament to her tenacity and talent.

Fiona is a genuine star of comedy across the globe. She has appeared on virtually every relevant television program on Australian television and performed radio shows on ABC Radio. She is currently finishing off her first book and writes a weekly column for Australian Women’s Weekly. She’s also a popular regular on Good News Week and Spics and Specks. O’Loughlin is the Queen of Disclosure. She's the woman who said Bindi Irwin needs a good slap! She even went on to say that she's a bit creepy. Only a hard core serial mum could get away with saying that!  It's what we've all been thinking! More recently Fiona came out as an alcoholic after a very public on stage collapse. To her credit, she didn't make excuses; she joined a 12 step program and incorporated it into her show. Now she jokes that she is not only married forever…she can’t drink forever!!! Only an Irish Catholic girl knows just how long forever can be!!! (Written by Mandy Nolan)
